Chinese Communist Party is based in Beijing, so is it any surprise that CCP leaders approached COVID-19 lockdowns more hesitantly for Beijing than they did for Shanghai? Communist leaders always get extra privileges.

Gonna be a commuting nightmare for many tomorrow morning when the holidays end.
Plus everyone will need to show proof of recent Covid test to use public transit.
